Job description
We are seeking an R&D Lab Technician to join our team! R&D Technician is to use strong creative instincts and experience to learn both dry and liquid blending of seasoning product development.
Responsibilities:
- High capacity to learn both dry and liquid blending and formulations.
- Strong creative instincts and a passion for exploring new flavors & use of ingredients.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills with logic and assesses critical information to make effective decisions or recommendations.
- Must be okay with working in a fast-paced environment of changing priorities, multiple projects, and short deadlines.
- Will be responsible for helping develop new recipes, value-engineering initiatives, and driving innovation within Lynn’s Foods.
- Assist in sample making for sales presentations.
- Organize and maintain the R&D lab in good/clean condition, propose new techniques, acquire new raw materials, and maintain necessary inventories.
- Formulate Gold Standard recipes and set target standards, working alongside Operations, Purchasing, and Regulatory to ensure best practice toward scale-up and execution.
- Generate a multitude of innovative product ideas and recipes to build prototypes according to short-term and long-term project goals.
- Work under the supervision of the R&D Manager.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in food science or another related field with hands-on experience is preferred.
- Must be familiar with food safety.
- Experience in a laboratory setting and practices
- Experience conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Strong organizational skills
Salary: $70-80k annually
